For a long time, African youths have expressed on various occasions their strong interest in the field of aerospace, and their aspiration to "fly into space" one day. Here comes the opportunity for our young African friends to get your "African Dream" soar into the immense universe.

From 1st March, a painting competition on the theme of "My Dream" will be co-hosted by the Chinese Follow-up Committee of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and China Manned Space Engineering Office for the youths in African countries. Teenagers and young children in Botswana are warmly welcome to participate in the competition by submitting paintings portraying their hopes and dreams.

The competition will select 10 winner entries of First Prize, 15 Second Prize and 25 Third Prize. The winners will be awarded trophies and rewards (about 7600BWP for First Prize, 4800BWP for Second Prize and 3800BWP for Third Prize). 10 winning entries will be carried by Chinese Taikonauts aboard China's Shenzhou Spacecraft into the Tiangong Space Station and displayed live on social media platforms to the world.

The Botswana participants are kindly requested to send the paintings, along with information including the titles and the brief introductions of the paintings (about 200 words) as well as the names, ages and the phone numbers of the authors to the Chinese Embassy by 25th March, 2023. The size of the painting should not exceed that of A3 paper (420mm*297mm).
